Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
For Seaman:
- 10th Class pass or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience on sea-going mechanized vessels, with at least two years in helmsman and seamanship roles.
For Greaser:
- 10th Class pass or equivalent.
- Minimum three years of experience in the maintenance of main and auxiliary machinery on sea-going mechanized vessels.
Desirable Qualifications
- Seaman: Certificate of Competency as “Mate of Fishing Vessel” issued by the Marine Mercantile Department.
- Greaser: Certificate of Competency as “Engine Driver of Fishing Vessel” issued by the Marine Mercantile Department.
Age Criteria
Candidates must be between 18 to 25 years as of December 17, 2024. Age relaxation is applicable:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Central Government Employees: Up to 40 years (45 years for SC/ST)
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years beyond service years
Key Skills
- Proficiency in marine vessel operations and maintenance.

Selection Process
